]]> We’re working on the Broadway show, The Addams Family this weekend. Although, since I’m in the middle of a thirteen day week, most of which are over twelve hour days, it may be a while before I get a chance to post this!
I’m, as always, on these types of shows NOT on the audio crew, but working on the props crew. You can see my post about the props crew which I posted earlier which explains what they do.
This show has a wonderful touring crew which has been one of the best crews I have had the pleasure to work with in a musical ever. And although I have not spoken much with the cast members, they have been friendly and have moved a lot of stage set pieces, props and have made all of our crew’s jobs much easier. Tonight is the last of three shows this weekend and after we load out tonight we need to prep the building for next week’s event with the Salvation Army. So with that said, I am going to post some cool backstage photos from this show run for you and turn in for the evening.

People always ask how we know where all the set pieces go on the stage in the dark. Above you can see spike tape on the marley floor. Different colors and shapes tell us exactly where to place things. The tape stays on the floor, which travels with the road crew and is rolled out and taped down the the stage at each venue.
