Todd Rundgren

Last night I worked with Todd Rundgren. He has been around since the 1960’s playing in the psychedelic band Nazz in 1967. His best-known songs include “Hello It’s Me” and “I Saw the Light” from Something/Anything? (1972) Most of his songs are still played on classic rock radio stations, such as  his 1978 song “Can We Still Be Friends“. Most people will be familiar with his 1983 single “Bang the Drum All Day“, which is featured in many sports arenas, commercials, and movie trailers.

The load-in went smoothly. The band and crew arrived in a bus with a large trailer. They are traveling light for this tour as they have a series of fly days. I believe they were recently in Europe and in the morning they will fly to Hawaii. So they are traveling with limited gear, making everyone’s day easy. The crew, including Johnny, their monitor engineer, with whom I worked with most has been professional and super easy going, making for a good day.

I took a few photos from stage, so without further adieu, here they are.
